The people I met were professional and easy to talk to. That said, the final stage of the interview was a case study project that went well beyond what’s reasonable for an unpaid exercise. A large portion of it required building an account mapping strategy for a specific named company, which turned out to be an account they are actively prospecting. When I asked if this was an active account they’re looking to penetrate, the response was along the lines of “well yes we have in the past.” The call was also recorded “to share with the CRO.” In short, it felt like the company was tapping into free labor from applicants to provide leads and ideas for their GTM team. Good companies will compensate candidates for work of this scope.
