I applied through other source. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP (Irvine, CA)
Interview
I was re-entering the workforce after 3 yrs of being a stay at home Mom. I was fortunate that they gave me an opportunity to show them how I could contribute to the growth of a fairly new company.

I applied online. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP
Interview
Bait and switch, I was brought in for an interview for and Associate Director position. Emails and calls from them confirming the interview was for the associate director position. Once I come in they immediately start putting down my experience and trying to sell me on an entry level position which I had seen and specifically not applied for because I was over qualified. Interviewer was condescending and I could not wait to get out of there. I would never work for a company that is so comfortable deceiving employees.

Question 1
Tell me about youself. (While not listening and reading my resume.)
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP (Houston, TX) in May 2019
Interview
Interesting interview process. Neutral interview process since it was not too hard, but wasted a lot of time by having to return to multiple interviews. alliant really needs to streamline their interview process
Recruiter reached out. Chatted on the phone and brought me into the office for an interview. First interview was with the recruiter again, which was a waste of time. Next, I was brought back for another interview with a one of the hiring managers. Second interview last for 20-30 minutes. Then I was brought back for another interview a week later. They asked about salary, gave them a number, and was most likely denied based on salary requirements and needs. Seemed like having a life outside of work was also a negative as they brought that up.
I've read several reviews and news articles about this company being unethical and possibly having some questionable work/life balance issues. Definitely felt the questionable work/life balance issue come to light in the interview.
Many of the questions in the interview was not really about skills, but more about family life and whether I would stay late. There are mandatory trainings every Tuesday and Thursday that start at 6 and supposedly end at 8pm, but I was told "they end when they end." You can see on several reviews across the net that you need to stay until 11pm if you want to be in the "in" crowd. They also gave an interesting cult-like vibe; they never want you to leave the company. Major red flags.
Interviewers repeatedly emphasized how they consistently go over allotted time on team meetings and never meet during "customer hours," so you will definitely be staying late. Consistently going over meetings sounds very inefficient.
They gave off a work hard, play hard vibe... but not work smart vibe.
You'll definitely be grinding in there, but if you need a job, it could be a could place to make some decent money.
