I applied through college or university. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP in Jan 2021
Interview
15 min phone screen with HR (basic interview questions)
30 min webx interview with HR (about resume)
30 min zoom interview with 2 directors of position ( more behavior/grilling lol)
I had a great experience with HR. The lady was super helpful and supportive of me. She just asked me simple questions about relocation along with my experiences on my resume.
The interview with the directors, however, was much different for me. It seemed very rushed and they grilled me on everything that I said. One even criticized me during the interview! At the end when I was asking questions, they would ask me questions back which I thought was strange. I didn't feel welcome at all after that interview. Glad I didn't hear back.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself
Why Alliantgroup
Why consulting instead of engineering
What part to you play on a team
Tell me a time you had to give someone constructive criticism
Why are you a good leader
You do one interview online. Mine was with two people via Zoom. Then you do an in-person interview where they will fly you in if needed and it is with one person and you get a tour of the office.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP (Houston, TX) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process is pretty average they're going to ask why do you feel you should get hired and what is something you didn't like about last your job. I had plenty of questions for them especially after reading all of the terrible reviews online, I wanted to assure any insecurities I had about the role and the company. I was hoping they could reassure me with their answers. They did the opposite and I was glad. I asked them how do they balance work and regular life since it was emphasized that the hours were long. Since they kept emphasizing that as a new hire I would be expected to stay even later to ensure I understood the material (which is not a problem for me) I asked out of curiosity what's the latest they had ever worked. They both gave me very late times and tried to ensure that this was a one-off (contrary to what many reviews state). After the interview, I was informed that I interview well and I would be great for the role but it was obvious that I had an issue with the hours. So if you're desperate for a job, don't mention the hours or ask about it. They're going to know you aren't green.
