I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP (Houston, TX) in May 2014
Interview
A complete waste of my time. I applied online with my resume, without a cover letter. So, I was very surprised to hear from them.
They are likely aware of the negative reviews on this web site and the comments suggesting that they will hire anyone. They now appear to be interviewing individuals without actual interest in hiring them to alter that reputation. HR (or the "talent acquisition associate") contacted me. The talent acquisition associate interviewed me twice (once by phone and once by video, as I don't live in Houston). She was like an extremely aggressive (but very friendly) saleswoman. At the conclusion of the video interview, she arranged for me to have another video interview with two directors two days later.
Two days later, twenty-minutes late, and one director short, the most discourteous woman I have ever had the misfortune of interviewing with appeared on-screen for the interview. Do not forget her title and mistakenly call her a Project Manager or something other than a DIRECTOR, it offends her greatly and she'll be sure to bite your head off if you do. My encounter with this interviewer is likely indicative of the unsavory characters who run this shop.

Question 1
None - but extremely turned off when I was told I would be "digging, digging, digging" to find those tax credits.
You do one interview online. Mine was with two people via Zoom. Then you do an in-person interview where they will fly you in if needed and it is with one person and you get a tour of the office.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP (Houston, TX) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process is pretty average they're going to ask why do you feel you should get hired and what is something you didn't like about last your job. I had plenty of questions for them especially after reading all of the terrible reviews online, I wanted to assure any insecurities I had about the role and the company. I was hoping they could reassure me with their answers. They did the opposite and I was glad. I asked them how do they balance work and regular life since it was emphasized that the hours were long. Since they kept emphasizing that as a new hire I would be expected to stay even later to ensure I understood the material (which is not a problem for me) I asked out of curiosity what's the latest they had ever worked. They both gave me very late times and tried to ensure that this was a one-off (contrary to what many reviews state). After the interview, I was informed that I interview well and I would be great for the role but it was obvious that I had an issue with the hours. So if you're desperate for a job, don't mention the hours or ask about it. They're going to know you aren't green.
