There was an in-person group interview of three candidates in their Houston, TX office. We were all asked questions as a group and asked to go one by one and share answers. It was somewhere between informal and formal.

Interview
I applied online and got a call from a recruiter a day later. The phone conversation was talking about my past job experiences, going over what type of position I was looking for, and to schedule a face to face with a Director. The phone screening was very simple and the recruiter was very nice. She called me on a Friday and we had scheduled a f2f interview that following Monday.
Over the weekend I did all that I could to research the company. I suggest knowing what their values are and how they are very team heavy, they like people who get along well with others. So be able to demonstrate your interpersonal skills during the interview. During the f2f it was very relaxed (less uptight and formal than my past interviews), and the interviewer talked a lot about the job duties and about how the company began. There weren't many behavioral questions as I anticipated but we did talk about my last job, and what type of work I did there. Be able to explain how your past experiences can relate/ roll over to this position. I believe for this position the hours are 8:30am-6:30pm. The interviewer mentioned that during tax season there will be nights that we will be working later than usual or possibly overtime in some cases (but she assured me that you will get paid time and a half) and that they have catered lunch everyday. Most of the questions were about my resume and job experience. I tried to incorporate how well I work with others in my interview so they know that I'll be able to fit in with their work environment. At the end of the interview they said that HR will contact me with the next steps of the interview process if I am to progress. About an hour later I get a call from HR offering me the position. Overall, I had a good experience with the interview process.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at alliantgroup, LP
Interview
The two people interviewing me looked dead. The woman who was there for 7 years literally told me that sometimes she doesn't think she can make it through the day but then there are some good days. The other guy only started working there 6 weeks prior. They barely asked me any questions. And kept asking me if I had questions and soon it became me interviewing them and I did not want to be a part of that company.

so why accounting? The staffing service I was using did not tell me it was an accounting job. I just thought it was a data entry position and I absolutely hate accounting, so I was caught off guard.
