STAR method: tell me about a time when you had to disagree with your boss. What did you do? What was the outcome? What would you do, differently, given the opportunity?
Talk about a time when you had to advise senior leadership in written form.
Explain indemnification? Is this standard for industry practices?
Tell me about a time when you were faced with a problem that had a number of possible solutions. What was the problem and how did you determine the course of action? What was the outcome of that choice?
When is a time you failed to meet a deadline or project expectation? What did you learn and what, if anything, would you have done differently?
Interview only lasted five minuted. There were few questions.
Describe a time when you had to make a decision without all the facts
They asked me in the survey to answer a number of detailed questions about my background. One of these questions was "On average, how many hours a year did you bill at your law firm?" For those of us trying to leave law firms because of billable hour requirements, this question is an obvious turn-off (and perhaps does not reflect well on their values/culture...)
