I had gotten to the second to last round, but the interviews had become a bit sketchy by that point. Two weeks after submitting my working backwards document, I hadn't heard anything, so I reached out and they moved me forward immediately to an interview with someone who wasn't even on the product team. The interview went quite well, but at the end I was told they would reach out to me within a few hours, which is a suspiciously short amount of time for deliberation, leading me to think things were being decided unilaterally, which seems to be bad practice for a late-stage interview. I was told they were not moving forward with my candidacy with no reasoning or explanation even after I reached out to ask, despite the hours upon hours of case studies they had asked of me as a candidate. Overall, a very poor (and truthfully kind of sketchy!) interview experience with a lack of respect and structure, especially for a company that expects a high level of speed and written feedback from its employees.
