I applied through linkedin.com and I was sent an email to set up a phone interview with an HR representative. A few weeks later, I received another email to set up a phone interview with a sales manager. After that interview I received an email to have an in person interview with a list of people working at the company. The in-person interview was completely unorganized and half of the people that were listed to interview with, were either too busy or not there. Each person asked me in-depth about my resume and why I was interested in working for athenahealth. They also asked me what I knew about their company. They touted all the benefits which all sounded very nice. When I asked each person how long they had been with athenahealth, almost every manager was less then 9 months. The interview was not difficult but it was frustrating because each person was shuffling in and out of the room. No one had a business card, so there was no way to follow up with anyone after the interview. After a week or so, I knew since I didn't hear from them I was no longer being considered. About a week later they sent me an email that they have selected only a few candidates to move forward with. Personally I am not sure what they are looking for, as I have plenty of experience. But it is their loss as I am a very dedicated and hard-working employee.
