I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at balena (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2019
Interview
After several weeks after I applied, I was contacted by email with a take-home assignment.
They wanted me to build a IoT monitoring system in 3-4 hours, which is frankly unrealistic.
I went ahead and spend the time on what I think it was a pretty good job. They never acknowledged receipt and after more than one week they replied with a rude template-email telling me that I just did not have the skills required for the job . Which I strongly disagree.
I regret not reading the interview reviews before and skipping this company all together, since in my opinion they have a Lazy, Abusive and Obtuse recruiting process.
Please don't waste your time with a company that doesn't want to spend a single minute talking to you.
