      Production Engineer Interview

      Nov 7, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at bp (Denver, CO) in Oct 2017

      Interview

There was no initial phone screening. I received a phone call asking if I would be available for an interview near the new BP Lower 48 headquarters in Denver (which was still under construction) with a continuous improvement engineer, regional manager, and production manager. As part of the interview, I asked about the next steps in the interview and was told there were a few more interviews that week, and I would hear back in another 2 weeks. After the two weeks, I sent a follow up email to the email address that I had been told to contact in regards to the interview, and never received a response. Over a month after the interview, I received an automated email from the BP career center thanking me for my application, telling me I was not going to proceed in the process for this position, and telling me not to be disappointed that I never got to interview. Overall very upsetting that they couldn’t have at least sent a response thanking me for taking an entire day to travel and interview with them, and instead pretended that I never even interviewed.

      Question 1

No real “interview” questions prepared, just wanted me to ramble on about my experiences on my resume and would occasionally ask a question about something written in the resume I’d given them.
