I applied in mid october 2017 in Australia and went through 3 rounds of interviews into late December. I was told in January that I was selected for the final round at the assessment center in February. Subsequent to that on Feb 1st I was told that due to a pending re-structure the recruitment for FLP was indefinetly on hold in Australia.
The notion that the FLP program would be put on the chopping board for a restructure was at odds with the way the program was portrayed during the interview process. It was hailed as an important investment in the future, so it was surprising to see it's intake cut. Had I known in advance it could be a bargaining chip in a budget I would have reconsidered my motivations for applying.
