I found some personality-related questions inapplicable to the job description. I think the hiring manager was using some sort of South African standardized way of interviewing.
First Interview: What happens in the browser when you type Amazon.com?, How do you scale a PHP application?, Tell me about a time when you did more than was needed by a client?, How do you host two websites using the same IP?, How do you check the states of slow running queries in databases and ho do you optimize them ?, How would you migrate an application from Google Cloud Datastore to Amazon S3?(I would say this was specific to me because I had earlier stated that I had experience with the Google Cloud Platform), What is the difference between absolute and relative URLs and what are the advantages/disadvantages of each?, What is the deafault MySQL port?
Most of these are based around Why do you want to work at Amazon and how do you fit within the leadership principles. The technical interview questions vary greatly dependent upon what team they are going to hire you for: Linux, Windows, Networking, DevOps, SDKs, etc.
