928 corporate recruiter interview questions shared by candidates

The first phone call was pretty typical, i.e. tell me about yourself, your background, recruiting experiences, why shake shack, etc. The video interview with the Director of TA was a total 180 for the following reasons. I'll start with the preface of how incredibly not diverse the TA team is to begin with, from top to bottom. So, for my BIPOC candidates, please ask about their DE&I efforts for their corporate positions. The video interview started fine until the interviewer started to yawn and mention how they do not micromanage at least three times during the conversation. Since then, they have decided to move in a different direction. There was no structure in their interview process and the team seems very overworked. For a brand that I looked up to for a long time - I was so disappointed and really unhappy with the direction they went. And lastly, I've never been asked directly by the HM what my salary expectations are via video, so it was slightly awkward. Overall, my experience as a customer remains phenomenal but as a BIPOC candidate for a predominately caucasian corporate staff - I was let down. Since then, I've been ghosted so - go figure! TA professionals - do your HW.
