What do you want to do in 5 years
There were no unexpected questions. Questions were about my achievements, competencies, weaknesses and attributes. There were also some scenario questions.
Absolutely none. Inept company. Maybe they are trying to turn things around?
I didn't really get odd questions... just asking me to explain my background and experience. The IT Consultant, however, seemed less interested in my answers than standing on his own soap-box.
I can't say any of the questions were unexpected or difficult. Standard "why are you looking to leave your current position", "what are your strengths and weaknesses", etc.
General questions about background, how you would adapt to certain situations
It would not be fair to the company to reveal their most difficult or unexpected question. This question is asked to gauge a reaction and assess several apects of the candidate (creative thinking, engineering mindset, quick on your feet, etc.).
Had I lead an IT department before.
