What is my policy preference? We work with oil companies and you need to be all about oil companies. (I later found out that the guy who asked me this was against oil companies and also against the company I use to work for).

Firstly, I’ve never left a post interview review but this was nothing short of bizarre. I had a very productive interview with the CRO- very respectful, engaging and seemed to genuinely care about culture and people. Great guy. Great interview, I told him I had a position in finance before and it wasn’t on my resume (FYI-I was the top producer in my old companies and wanted a career change). VP of business development-definitely the opposite experience, Standoffish within the first few minutes, asked questions which I’m sure are not legal (what’s your current contract look like? When did you graduate? He was trying to get my age out of me). When I told him why I have only my last 3 positions over 10 years on my resume he seemed to get irritated (I explained that even though I’m not old, ageism exists). Every question was an interrogation and he seemed to make a lot of false assumptions. I have fantastic references from my current contract and past positions but he had made up his mind right away, I kept my daughter late with childcare for this interview. I most likely spent at least 6 hours making notes/preparing and he wasn’t interested in hearing anything with regards to the actual job description.
