Completed two interviews for the role, the first an initial screening with a recruiter, and the second round a more in-depth discussion with the hiring manager. The second round interview was scheduled about a week after the initial screening. After the second interview, the hiring manager told me I would receive information for next steps by the end of the week. When I heard nothing that week, I reached out during the middle of the following inquiring the status of the hiring process. I was not contact further for the following three weeks. Nearly a month after my initial interview, I received an email from the hiring manager stating the role had been put on hold, but they would save my resume in case it opens in the future. Unprofessional process with a lack of respect for my time as a potential employee. Be more transparent of hiring freezes in a more appropriate time frame with your candidates.
