e-Builder Inside Sales Representative interview questions

I had a pleasant interview at this company last week - you always think of ways that you could have been more dazzling after the fact, but I thought it went fairly well. I had a good rapport with the interviewing manager and the other employees who greeted me. I was not at a loss for words and answered every question I was asked. I asked plenty of questions about the job and the company, in addition to everything that was discussed with the recruiter. Regardless, I received the call from the recruiter on the following morning, and apparently the hiring manager felt that 'it was not a good fit'. No problem, it happens. But after having spent days preparing for this interview and filling out assessments, and doing everything the recruiter asked me to do, I would have appreciated something more meaningful than a canned response that he probably throws at everyone. Not every candidate may be interested in hearing the truth about why he really was not selected for the job offer, but how else can you improve their chances at the next interview? I understand that a recruiter's interest is not in finding me a job but to fill the position for his client. However, it is fair to expect some honest and useful feedback from the person who is in a position to provide it. It is the right and decent thing to do - just my humble opinion.
