Interview
Round 1- Phone:
Complete headache from the recruiting process. Took weeks to communicate and set up phone interviews. I asked if it was possible to reschedule my interview and although I clearly stated that I would be fine with the original time if rescheduling was impossible, I was simply sent an automated rejection email before I even interviewed, which I found disrespectful. I ended up calling the recruiter to set up the phone interview, which I passed.
Interview itself: 2 easy coding problems on the online shared editor. One was on palindromes.
Round 2-Onsite:
I found their process extremely inefficient and disrespectful. I was invited to a university interview day in which basically around 100 interviewers rotated around the cafeteria for a total of 4(? can't remember) interviews, looked and felt like speed dating but worse. It was loud, I was writing on printer paper and sometimes found it difficult to focus. The coding questions asked were very easy but the interviewers were not helpful and seemed to get easily distracted as well. I was disappointed because the environment did not allow me to perform to my best since I was not aware this was going to be the setup. I had and since have never been in an interview process in which I am not in a quiet room as the sole candidate in there. Plus, loud talks about diversity but all of my interviewers were middle-aged Indian men.
