I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at eBay (Bellevue, WA)
Interview
Had a friend submit my resume internally. Heard back within a week from a recruiter. What followed for the next 6-7 weeks was 1 HR interview, 1 in-person informational with the hiring manager, 5 more in-person interviews with the team over the next few weeks before a final round each with the hiring manager and VP. Was made an offer the next day after the final VP meeting.
I had 6 interviews including 4 case studies:
1. Met with HR
2. Met with Hiring Manager (45 mins), he shared his screen and asked me case study questions.
3. case study with Hiring Manager and 2 other Managers (45 mins). It was standard case study questions but it was very uncomfortable and it felt like they were disengaged and uninterested from the beginning.
4. interview with a Tech Manager (45 mins).
5. 1 hour interview with the Manager leading the Product team, I wasn't warned that she would put me on the spot and again ask more case study questions. She shared her screen and asked questions about a case. I really didn't expect this.
6. Another 1 hour interview with the newly hired Senior Director. She did more case studies and put me on the spot to do mathematical calculations. I got every question correct.
After all these interviews, HR sent me a 1-line email saying that they weren't going to move forward with me. Throughout the last couple interviews they really led me to believe I'd be getting the offer.
I spent almost 5 hours interviewing with them, just to get a 1-line rejection.
Overall the tone was just very uncomfortable. The case study questions didn't feel fair since we only have limited exposure into the world of ebay and how they operate.

2. Calculate the Conversion rate.
3. What would you say is the problem with this mobile PN?
I did 6 interviews & 4 case studies only to get rejected with a 1-line email saying it's not a good fit. In the final interview, the interviewer put me on the spot and made me do math problems, which is difficult in an interview-setting when someone's watching you. The whole process was just really uncomfortable and stressful. They gave no real feedback or reasoning for why I was rejected.
