Had a screening call, was told I'd be recommended to move on to additional interviews, then I was ghosted (didn't even reply to my emails). Literally 3 months later I received an email letting me know they "went a different direction" but ultimately still hired someone - not sure what the different direction was. I'm ok that I didn't get the position, but ghosting candidates is extremely unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company.
