Interview
Long. Took a while on their end to get booked with a lot of scheduling conflicts. Initial phone screen with recruiter, then 2 more with hiring managers. After that you move on to the Amazon Loop since they are an Amazon company. This is an all day interview with 5 people and hour long each and some breaks in between. Was not terrible, but definitely a very long process. I was given feedback on one of my final interviews that I "would probably be expecting good news next week". I assumed I got the offer, then got a call from the recruiter the following week that they were not extending an offer and gave zero insight. This was very misleading as one of the hiring managers told me on my call with him I should be expecting good news and then their minds changed with zero insight.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All questions are based around Amazon's Leadership Principles and how you exemplify them and real world working examples.
Interview process was done remotely due to the pandemic. The whole process took approximately 3 months and consisted of multiple rounds of calls with the hiring manager and other staff. The team was virtually unresponsive to most emails throughout the process or would take 1+ week to respond. It was hard to determine during interviews with the hiring manager if I was being strung along or if they were actually interested in me joining the team.
After the final interview it was radio silence despite emails to both the recruiter and the hiring manager and a promise of notification within 1 week. I discovered I did not get the role when checking the application for a different Amazon position.
