I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at ezCater in Sep 2021
Interview
I felt the interview overall went well. The process consisted of a phone call with HR, a phone call with the hiring manager, a take home assignment (which took a few hours), and presentation of that assignment to a panel of execs. Everyone was very nice and seemed passionate about their roles. I did get asked a few tough questions but that's expected from high level stakeholders. After 3 weeks of being told they "would have an answer shortly", I received a call from HR telling me despite my impressive qualifications and presentation skills, they would not be moving forward as they would be re-structuring the role to be more senior. Although disappointed, I appreciated the transparency......
.....until I saw they re-posted the same.exact.role. a few months later. Same JD, same salary, same title. Feels like a huge waste of time and wish I hadn't put all this time and effort while also maintaining a full time job.

How do you measure online and offline conversions from marketing
Overall the interview process took about 2 months. They were open, transparent and it seemed like a good company culture. I enjoyed speaking with everyone. It did come to mind, why I have never heard of this company but they mentioned they were ramping up and in the fast growth stages which was fair.
The final interview was a panel interview and a short presentation which I was initially hesitant about. In a way its kind of like giving free consultation. They had several questions after the presentation. It wasn't just a test of my presentation skill, they were genuinely curious about the outside take on their current efforts it seems. A few days later they came back and gave me a lame excuse as why I did not get the position. The process in itself took too long to come to that conclusion.
I get being picky in a employers market but for the most part it is a candidates market currently with the great resignation. A year later and the position remains open. So either it was free consultation or they didn't know what they were looking for at the time and went back to the drawing board each time. I still have not heard much about this organization and my current organization caters almost everyday. That at the end of the day goes back to something missing within their marketing efforts IMO.
