Why Northwestern mutual?
Hardest thing was making sure you actually got names and numbers from the people you interviewed for homework. If they say I'll get back to you and you tell the interviewers that it looks like you don't have the initiative to close the deal. No brainteasers or anything. All about personality and fit.
What are you willing to do to be successful?
general behavioral questions i.e. can you give an example of a time you displayed leadership, worked as a team etc.

Most of the questions I receive are from financial reps, other assistants and clients. The questions revolve around billing, insurance, loans, policy change options, application input, underwriting, policy deliveries. All questions are opportunities to learn and grow in Northwestern Mutual products and service. Any difficult questions can be fielded to our home office and it is their answers that dictate what we can and cannot do.
Name one time in your life when you failed at something. How did you overcome that failure?
There really wasn't anything surprising, but if I had to pick a hardest question it would be "how would you respond if a customer says they don't want to change their policy?"
The most difficult part of this interview process is that you must come up with 100 contacts as described above.
