Front Desk Interview Questions

Working as a front desk clerk demands a candidate who can provide impeccable customer service under pressure, while maintaining a professional demeanor. Interviewers will be interested in how you will go above and beyond to make every customer satisfied, so an understanding of protocol and patience is necessary. You may be asked about how you would contribute to the team and role-play a scenario where you must deal with an angry guest. Present yourself as being an upbeat, jovial, and attentive potential employee to make the best impression.

This is a small practice owned by a husband and wife. I came to the interview dressed professionally, had viewed their website and prepared questions and answers. The wanted to know if I watched Game of Thrones. This was a group interview which was not communicated to me ahead of time. Other applicants were in jeans and had little job experience and no preparation. Small company, small minded. Looking for a rock star (what?). Disfunctional from the start.

Part of the problem, I dont remeber being asked anything that didnt verify the information provided on my resume. I asked them more questions than they did. It was very blatantly obvious I WAS NOT getting the job. The skills assessment took the most time.
