I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at geoAMPS (Powell, OH) in Jan 2013
Interview
Interview was meeting with the head of sales, the COO, and finally the CEO. Questions where about education, experience, and expectations for the position. Overall not bad and they really sold the potential of the company. The entire process was much quicker than you get from big companies, however; they did want a pretty quick turn around on a commitment in return.
Initial Interview and second interview. NOT typical: First question was "how much do you want", before explaination of job duties and expectations. Job requires cold calling and travel. They kept stressing how high commissions could be, but they did not give the range on the price of their products or the "average" sale. It seemed like they were going through sales people like water because of low base $30,000-$40,000, long sales cycle 6 months-1 year, and little or no training with very high expectations.
