The first round of the TA interview lasted nearly an hour. At the end, they asked about my expected salary, and I quoted an industry-average level. They then said they would arrange a next round, but in the end, they said there would be no next round. The reason given was completely irrelevant, and finally, they said the salary didn't match. What a waste of time. Next time, Just ask expected salary right away to save both sides' time.
