I recently interviewed with this company for a role. My initial interaction was prompt and professional—they quickly scheduled a second interview. I met all the stated requirements for the position, which were quite specific.
After that conversation, a third interview. However, within 24 hours, I received an email stating that the team had decided to move forward with another candidate and that my process was ending. This was surprising and disappointing—especially as they had just initiated scheduling for the next interview.
If the position was already in the offer stage with another candidate, the more respectful and professional approach would have been to communicate that earlier or pause interviewing others until a decision was finalized. Alternatively, completing all candidate interviews before making a final choice would have avoided the abrupt change.
The experience left me with a negative impression of the company’s hiring process—particularly given the high regard I previously had for them.
