Fabless start-up with low profits and rather high losses looking to design old automotive electronics that already exist in a highly competive market that depends a lot on the health of the supply chain and perspective of the customers.
The interview process got postponed multiple times supposedly because they have money issues.
The panel interviews were not panels rather virtual 1:1's with prospective coworkers from the same area and a potential direct reports. No interview with actual people that the role was going to guide or work with.
The conversations led me to realize that the company lacked a lot of tools and processes and were struggling to bring products into market and had resources that lacked a lot of experience. The panels didn't even actually cover the skills need for the role rather went to lengths askong about other departments and domains so their "opportunity" required multiple hats but we all know that doesn't work well.
It all came to the point that I was probably too expensive for what I was bringing into the table.
Don't waste time and avoid this cash-strapped company.
