The first interview was entirely behavioral. Background, why IB, why Barclays, then questions about a time I led a team, a time where a team encountered issues and how we handled them, how my background prepared me for banking, and to describe myself in a single word, which I backed up with work examples/situations. The 2nd interview was much more conversational. Questions included if I were the FED what am I thinking about right now and what would I do, choosing between a 2-year 2,000 per month fixed rate lease and 2-year lease with a floating rate tied to US GDP, am I only interviewing for banking and is there anywhere else I am talking to.

Assume a company has 500K of senior debt trading at 50%, and 250K of sub debt trading at 20%. Therefore, the market value of each is 250K and 40K, respectively. According to BIWS, this also means that creditors expect to recover 50% of the senior debt and 20% of the sub debt. Why is that so?
