Got a call from an internal recruiter who sounded cool and was very eager to have me interview for a senior management position. We quickly scheduled a phone interview which lasted about 15 minutes, was pleasant, and laid out next steps.
After that, didn't hear from the recruiter for over a week despite my efforts to get in touch with them. Finally heard back from them and they hurriedly scheduled an on-site interview. Was sent 3 assessments (2 cognitive, 1 personality) to complete before the on-site. Two of the tests were fine, but one of them was very laggy and impossible to finish because of that.
Arrived at the scheduled time on the day of the on-site interview. Was supposed to be meeting with 2 VPs for 1 hour and 30 minutes total. Had not been informed if the format was to be two 1-on-1s or one 2-on-1. Waited 40 minutes before one of the VPs ("VP 1") showed up. VP 1 was a down-to-earth and funny person. We had a decent interview involving some meaningful questions but it only lasted about 20 minutes. VP 1 apologized for having to rush through it and handed me off to VP 2.
VP 2 had a bad, stuck-up attitude and was visibly uninterested in me. Was in a rush to get me out of their office; our 1-on-1 lasted about 10 minutes. Had clearly not read my resume and asked me multiple times what I had done at each company I worked for. Asked me laughably stock questions in a way that betrayed a complete lack of interest in my candidacy, e.g. "Tell me about yourself," "What's your greatest strength," etc., verbatim. Kept asking about projects at companies I worked for that I had no involvement in, instead of what I told them I had worked on. Responded to my answers with a nasty face and a haughty "...Okay?" VP 2 took a phone call in the middle of the interview which made it even shorter. VP 2 also didn't know which position I was applying for because they apparently 2 other openings with the same name as my opening, and wondered if they shouldn't even be interviewing me. Need I say more?
After I left, I never heard from anyone there again. Overall, a big waste of time.
