It took three weeks to set up an interview with five employees and nine other interviewees. Basically a panel interview online. they asked maybe seven questions but not everybody answers the same questions all the time. Very fun and basic especially for a junior position. they don't ask you anything about loans but how you work, how much you want to make, why this field, etc. They hide information about pay. even my recruiter said that they should have given it to you already and that they would get me an answer very quickly but six weeks went by and they never answered a question about pay. I asked other people who left loandepot and they told me that they don't give out the pay schedule on purpose until your first day at work. I think to turn over rate is extremely high so they kept emphasizing that they want someone who will stay here forever. They also make you sign a contract that says if you leave within two years you have to pay them back $15,000 for their aces "training".

I was first introduced to them by attending a career fair at my school and chatting quickly with them. A recruiter named Kirstie contacted me about a month or two later about the junior mortgage banker position. She briefed me on the position and then we scheduled a time for me to come in. Before coming in I had to complete a few questionnaires asking me questions about my personality, etc. Day of, I'm asked to complete this computer questionnaire asking me random questions dealing with simple math and word comprehension. I was supposed to have 2 interviews, but only had one. The questions were standard interview questions, nothing out of the ordinary. Kirstie later called me to meet with one of the hiring managers that I was supposed to meet the other day so we did that. The hiring manager asked me most of the same questions. They were a little disorganized in that they had me confused with another candidate and had printed out their resume instead of mines. After that I never heard back from them again. No rejection or offer call, which I thought was a bit strange. But at that point I was no longer interested in the position.

Started with a phone interview, had a one on one interview with asst. manager, then a 2nd interview with manager.
