Not a very professional or organized process. Submitted my application and was contacted by a recruiter who scheduled me for a meeting with a hiring manager, and told me I should block off 1 hour of time for the interview. Showed up 30 mins early and was ushered into a room with about 25 other candidates for a group interview, not what I expected, but no big deal. Group interview began 45 minutes late, everyone was asked the same 2 questions, pretty standard interview questions. Then open questions were asked to the whole table. The interviewer was looking for one word or two word exact answers, HIS answers. For example "What trait do you think you will need to be successful in this position?" People answered every answer you could imagine, but none were the "correct" one, because they did not match with what his answer was....really? He also did a lot of talking, seemed like an interesting guy, just too much talking during the interview. After about 4 or 5 questions we were let go, 1hr and 45mins after I was told I would be done. Was also told that I'd need to come back to complete a wonderlic test, and that I would be contacted to do so. Was never contacted to take it. A couple days later I was contacted and informally told I got the job. And that I would start in 1 week. Not nearly enough time to give my current employer 2 weeks notice. I called back to accept, and was told that the start date was pushed back by 1 week...perfect! However I was told that I would need to undergo a credit/FBI background check to see if I was eligible to be licensed, which I consented to. I did not give notice to my job because I wanted a concrete offer in hand before I did so. After my credit check cleared I called the recruiter multiple times to ask for an offer in writing and I never heard back. I am again one week out from the start date with a tentative offer, I will likely decline.

The hiring process was great. I was out of the country at the time I applied. HR emailed me back very quickly and were lenient on setting up the phone interview (due to my 13 hour time difference.) Because I was out of the country, my second interview was over the phone instead of in the office. The phone interviews were easy and I feel the main purpose of them is to see how open you are to new people over the phone and to get an understanding of your personality. After the second phone interview, I was invited to a group interview that consisted of around 15 other candidates. Each candidate answered the same two questions. Afterwards, HR called within a few days with their offer.
