      I interviewed at mOcean

      Interview

Professional but cold interview; basically could not tell if my interviewers even wanted to be there or enjoyed working at the company at all. Not even a crack of a smile at all from one person and bored tone. Since the interview process is not only to see if the applicant is a good fit but also if the company is a good fit for the applicant, I didn't see any indication that they enjoyed working there or that I would enjoy working and interacting with this team on a daily basis -- especially when mOcean seems to expect applicants to stay at the company for several years and not jump ship after 1-2 years. That is fine, nobody likes high turnover and a revolving door, but if you want people to stay several years, then you need to make the workplace and culture one that convinces people to stay and makes them enjoy staying long term. Normal interview process with a screening call from HR first, then video interview call with hiring manager, then in-person interview onsite. HR screening call was great, friendly and professional.
