      Product Manager Interview

      Oct 12, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at mabl

      Interview

It started with an email response, enthusiastic and excited to set up an introductory call. Which we did, the very next morning. That conversation went well, and we set up a video virtual meeting with more team members for a few days later. I put on a nice shirt, and spiffed up the room in the background, picking up the laundry and turning on some lights in anticipation of our video call. Those two chats must have gone well, too, and so we set up another virtual call for the following week, with even more potential colleagues. I put on a different nice shirt, and used the same spiffed up room for the background for the virtual call with three prospective co-workers. We talked for about an hour, about a wide variety of topics, comfortably and collegially. I felt great about how well these virtual meetings went, and was energized thinking about working with this group of interesting, intelligent, and dedicated folks. That was over 10 weeks ago, and since then, there’s been no communication. None, neither virtual nor actual. Is a ghost considered virtual or actual? I don’t know, and it doesn’t matter. I do know that this is no way to communicate. It clearly demonstrates a lack of common courtesy. Don’t even bother to apply; companies like this don’t deserve your time.

Hi there - On behalf of everyone at mabl, I'd like to apologize that you didn't hear back from anyone at from our company after multiple interviews. That's the last way we intend to treat any candidate who spends time with our team. That being said I'd like to insure this is truthful feedback and I'd like to take this to the appropriate hiring manager internally. Can you please send an email to jobs@mabl.com with the dates which you interviewed with us so I can confirm we indeed did interview you on those days and I can speak to the hiring manager of those interviews?

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at mabl in Feb 2023

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted within a couple weeks. I had an interview with HR and a 1:1 with the hiring manager. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and passionate about their work and company. The recruiter sent over an idea of areas to focus on prior to hiring manager interview. I do wish the hiring manager interview had been structured differently as I was cut from the interview process for not having experience in a certain area that I actually do have experience in and just did not get to speak to, since it was not listed as an area to focus on and there was not adequate time for the hiring manager to ask question related to it I suppose.
