The interview went well, the HR manager asked me questions related to my major and about my resume and experience. The conversation lasted over an hour and in the end, he made me a verbal offer and had me fill out an application. He said he would call with a start date but he first had to speak to the engineering manager. I sent a thank you email, I followed up, I called the HR Manager and his assistant and they absolutely ghosted me. It would have been easier to have been told they changed their minds, I was happy to accept their offer even if it was 30% below the market rate. The experience was completely unprofessional.
