The most unexpected part of the interview process was the breed quiz. I was under the assumption that the breeds and their factoids would be taught to us if we were given the job. I was wrong. whoops.
What animal would you be an why?

What kind of customer service/retail experience do you have? Why do you want to work here?
Standard stuff. What are your pros/cons etc etc. Mostly they want to know that you are an animal loving person. I didn't have a lot of retail experience, (almost none at all) but had worked as a professional dog walker and owned dogs my whole life. My history with pets got me the job, not my past retail experience.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Do I feel confident handling bigger dogs
What is your availability? What is your previous experience with animals? Can you lift things?
