There was no one difficult or probing question as they all seemed to have already found their ideal candidate or just lacked experience in conducting interviews. During one interview they did ask me about my salary expectations which may have impacted their decision. Most of the questions came from potential peers who wanted to ensure I was a good fit and had good people skills.

Surprisingly, none of the questions were about prior work experience unless I specifically brought it up. It’s like your prior experience didn’t matter at all. I could tell the interviewers had a question script to choose from. Most of the questions were multiple parts setting up a scenario, ask the candidate what he would do and then twist or limit the scenario and ask the candidate again. A specific question was what’s the first thing you would do to learn about your (assigned) area? And assume that we can’t get you documents but we could set up meetings.
