The interviewers would evaluate your ability to communicate technical ideas by asking you to explain your project and trying to make sense out of your explanation.

I have beads of three colors: red green and blue. There are twice as many green beads as blue beads, and the number of red beads is seven more than half the total number of green and blue beads combined. Given that I do not have more than 50 beads, what is the maximum possible number of blue beads that I could have? (Assume any non-integer number of beads must be rounded down to the nearest integer.)
