These are ALL the questions, nothing more, nothing less: tell me about yourself? describe a time a team member wasn't contributing their share and what did you do to fix that? describe a time there was a lack of trust in a team, what did you do? describe a time you had to teach someone something you knew really well, how did you teach them/what did you learn from the experience? describe a project you didn't have enough information, what did you do? describe a time you were on a project and thought, there's gotta be a better way? what's been the biggest problem you've had to solve? Also two hypothetical scenarios: imagine you have to meet a new client the next morning and you know nothing about them, what do you do to be prepared? and imagine you're given a task you are unsure how to complete and your supervisor notices and intervenes, how do you react to this intervention and changing courses?
Why GBS?
You're struggling on a project and your supervisor notices and says something, what do you do?
Of course they ask why consulting. Practice this one on frineds and family, to see if you're really articulating yourself well enough and if they can see the passion. And of course they asked for you to talk about your past experience, so make sure you highlight what you want to actually talk about on your resume and get rid of things you don't want to talk about. They asked a question about innovation, too. Have an example for this. Now, the case. This was much more broad and hypothetical (in my opinion) than Case in Point. I immediately jumped into asking my interviewer questions to uncover more data, like in all the examples. He told me it was not that kind of case, I would just be laying out structure and ideas the whole time. So, I talked for about 25 straight minutes, and it wasn't until the end he asked specific additional questions. The key here is organization and summarization! All the Case in Point practice & Case Interview Secrets helped with this. It was also very important to constantly summarize and draw him in, because it was a virtual interview.
Tell me about a time you faced a challenge
Tell me about the time when you come up with a new way to tackle the problem at hand.
You have an idea. Tell me the steps you would take prior to presenting this idea to your manager/superior.
How are you a good fit for this position in IBM? How would you design a project using machine learning algorithms? Explain your thought process for solving one of the coding questions.
