I spoke with HR and then spoke with the hiring manager, Christian Mcguigan. HR interview was very standard. Hiring manager interview was non-technical consisting of "tell me a time when..." and "what was your great achievement" type of questions.
The process was very unprofessional and did not follow any kind of timing schedule. there was probably 2 months between the HR call and the hiring manager call. I followed up a few times after the hiring manager call and was told I would be contacted for next round... I never heard anything from them (ghosting).
I applied to the Managing Director role and, during the recruiting process, they downgraded the role to a Director role (with less pay).
The company seems to have no culture or organization. Rex Teams revolves around its rich founder, Rex... How he was a big failure early in his career and then got lucky, went to Harvard, worked with classmates to raise some money, and became a millionaire by investing in the housing market in the 2009-2012 downturn.
