Interview
At first I recieved an email asking if I was sure I understood the job description and that the job would entail alot of creation of sales collateral, PowerPoints, etc. I of course said yes I understood that was the case in a Jr. Role. We moved on to the phone interview and the phone interview was a bit awkward, I felt the interviewer was not at all interested in anything I had to say. It got to the part where I ask any questions, I was asking about benefits and company culture when I was rudely inturrupted and was told that my learning curve was too great and it wasn't going to work. Not sure if my question offended him or something however I was definitely offended and surprised since I had 4 years of digital design experience and about 6 years experience in freelance design. I was definitely more than qualified to design PowerPoints... Not sure what they we're looking for in this position however I would encourage them to be a bit more polite in an interview and try to hold back the rejection till after the interview. Can't help but wonder if the tipping point was that the interviewer was upset the video chat wasn't working either way super rude and negative experience.
