Seemed to be a lot of questions about being able to fit into their alpha-male culture which was interesting. This was even asked by the recruiter.
One of the questions I appreciated was, "What do you do to build trust?"
What can you bring in the first 60 days? Tell me about your contacts at the C level? How many C level contacts do you have?
I was asked to write a paper 350 words long on how I demonstrated two of their core values of the company. However, while I asked the clarifying question on whether it was 350 words per value or 350 words total, they never said which it should be. I did 350 words per value and emailed it to the VP. I was told he glanced at the paper and sent me a note saying I did not know how to follow instructions and I was no longer in consideration for the position.
The second interview with a fellow director was more professional and formal. She asked me how I’d be able to focus solely on sales versus all aspects of the business as I had been doing in my previous role.
