Interviews were traditional competency and personality questions. The written assessment was great in that it really showed you the type of work you'd be doing on a day-to-day basis.
There were three interviews, lots of different questions from job history through to management style.
Basically just wanted to know salary expectation, despite me clearly stating salary in isolation is negotiable dependant on position benefits. They clearly just wanted a number. Then received an automated rejection.
The questions were targeted at getting answers specific to the requirements of the job and also about ways of working, e.g. prioritisation, team management. The interviewers very warm and professional.
Describe an ethical dilemma that you faced at work where there was no clear right or wrong answer, and how you dealt with it?
No questions were difficult. It was the conflict between senior members that was time consuming and disrespectful of a candidate's time. While some ambiguity is expected with new roles, in this position no one possessed a clear concept nor agreement.
There were a lot of questions that pertained to how they would move their business forward from a PR perspective; respecting their privacy, I will not divulge.
