Senior Project Manager Interview Questions

"When interviewing for a position as a senior project manager, you can expect to be asked not only about your skills and experience as a project manager but also about your ability to hire, place, and mentor other project managers, step in when when a troubled project needs to be turned around, and devise ways to continuously improve project management strategies. Prepare to answer questions about how you would resolve project issues of any size, incorporate the company's business needs into the decisions made in each project, and review projects to determine how you the company can improve from them."

6,056 senior project manager interview questions shared by candidates

General questions about my previous experience and very technical about project management and I answered 90% of them correctly. The unprofessional matter was very clear, they didn't read my CV carefully as he was expecting me to hold a PMP certificate which is not mentioned in my CV, I mentioned that I have completed a PMP preparation exam course and clarified that to him, and told him that my exam will be within two weeks from that time. After I mentioned that he started the interview while it was clear that he didn't want to. It seemed to me that he wanted me to make mistakes, when I answer correctly he tried to make the question difficult just to clarify his point of me having lack of PM position. They asked me to email them once I get my PMP certificate and they would call me for a second interview two weeks after the first one and if I'm not selected they will let me know. Unprofessionally they didn't call either saying YES or NO and they didn't even reply to my email which includes my PMP certificate and grade which I got above target on it.
