Since I was a former Cisco employee there were no difficult questions. The director did try to play some sort of personality quiz with me by asking me to describe 3 adjectives that would describe me (typical psychological mumbo-jumbo).
The questions were mostly on Core java and some design patterns. Asked me to implemented producer and consumer problem.
Call back functions in compare routines, pointers were asked. Algorithms and few data structure questions asked. MPLS, VLAN related questions.
Technical 5 rounds and then HR round
I was not interviewed as I was already working for several years in the same organization.
The most difficult question for me was to identify my weakness(es). The reason for this is because I am somewhat uncomfortable with discussing my weaknesses with anyone for fear of judgment. But I was able to overcome this fear and be transparent and provide the things that I am aware that I need to work on.
