What was the most difficult project that you've handled in the past?
A key question and one of importance regarding the position is a person's experience and ability to manage and work all customer interactions and then also work all the internal interfaces within a manufacturing environment. Thinking and working like a small business owner is a necessary skill set.
The question which stood out for me was regarding my ability to manage multiple projects. As part of this question it was made clear that there was an expectation the successful candidate needed to be able to get up and running quickly, which was good for setting expectations in role.
