The question of "WHY TARGET?" It really helps to prepare for this question. I reflected on why I wanted to work for the Organization and what it was that set them apart in my mind. Doing some research about their mission/values really helped steer me in the right direction.
The questions were; -"Explain a problem you had at work/school and how did you fix it?" -"Have you ever worked with a team, and what did you do?" (Note; team work is very important to Target) -"Explain how you handled being assigned a bunch of tasks to complete in a short period of time" -"If a customer was looking for a specific pair of shoes that were not displayed, how would you handle this?" -"Why do you want to work for Target?" -"If a guest claims that an item costs $17.99 and it's ringing up $19.99 what do you do?" -"If we were to contact an old/current supervisor or an old/current teacher, what would they say your weaknesses and your strengths are?" (yes, I did write these all down in my phone and studied them)
How would you help a customer who was looking for an item the store was out of stock on?
The most difficult question for me was situational. Describe a time where you had to overcome a difficult situation and how did you accomplish this (in so many words).
Tell me a time you succeeded
Tell us of a win win situation you we're involved in?
what is a problem you have dealt with in your last job and how did you go about solving that problem
Situational questions, such as asking how i would respond in typical situations, as well as previous handling of situations
scenario questions and what would you do questions
How would I complete an online order that is running out of time while an in person guest asked for help.
