There is not one particular thing that stood out. We talked about "day in the life of" and I discussed how I proceeded with my work on a regular day.
1) How soon can you start? 2)How flexible are you on pay? Additional red flags- Few if any questions asked regarding my skills or years of experience. No reference checks made. instead- A good deal of clearly disingenuous friendly chat- ("I live quite close to you!") and (Your wife works for X company? we've placed some DBA's there!) and so forth. Just. So. Phony.
