Generally very conversational in nature. Questions about background - providing opportunities for both sides to discuss the role and related fit. Follow-up questions relating to the take-home exercise - providing opportunities to provide more context, discuss implementation details, etc.
They asked questions about the wide range of roles I've held throughout my career since it fits in nicely with the role they were hiring for and also asked how well I handle ambiguity since this is a new position that isn't fully flushed out yet in terms of the role description and function.
Most questions focused around past experience and relevance with the role.
For the presentation a problem was provided and I was asked to come up with a well rounded solution for the problem. I was given a week to prepare the presentation. During the presentation I had 20 mins to present my solution and then there was about 25 mins of Q&A.
Describe the escalated customer situation you had and how you handled it? Reasoning questions to understand the problem solving skills.
They kept reaffirming that I understood the job description. Travel, government interaction, understanding their technology, ancillary sales, and showing/creating value to clients.
