Hackers earth time wasting. Extremely stupid interviewer who doesn't understand terms like use case, business justification/case, requirement or any other words that you can come up with. He couldnt even explain scenario but I got that he was doing something that hadoop already has and all big data tool already has and is much better. In short he wants to you design SSL equivalent of security ie he wants storage optimisation for clusters. Ahh. What a headache. And they asked me to come in formal for such stupid discussion.!
Technical questions to determine my subject matter knowledge, followed by personality questions to determine my work ethic.
Most questions revolved around the technical exercise (explain your design decisions, what do you like best about your design, what would you improve if you had more time, how about if we wanted to do XYZ?). Particular questions from other parts of hiring process do not stick in my mind since these were more like natural, informal chats rather than rigid Q&A.
